Anguilla, January 22, 2025 – The Anguilla Tourist Board and the Office de Tourisme de Saint-Martin kicked off the year with a productive strategy meeting aimed at exploring potential collaborations for 2025. Representatives from both Boards, along with key stakeholders from the Ministry of Tourism, participated in discussions to align their global strategies and identify key areas of partnership.
Since both tourism boards share closely aligned focus areas and target markets for the upcoming year, the organizations have tentatively identified several opportunities to collaborate in areas such as trade shows, sales missions, webinars, and presentations, all aimed at enhancing tourism offerings across the region.
The proposed collaborations focus on trade initiatives targeting the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) segment, as well as yachting—a key driver of luxury tourism for both destinations. Additionally, both boards are exploring sales missions aimed at strengthening ties with key markets, including the UK, Canada, Europe, and Latin America.
Webinars are also being considered as part of the collaboration, designed to educate the travel trade about the unique offerings of both Anguilla and French St. Martin. These virtual sessions will provide valuable insights on how to effectively package the islands for multi-destination vacations, encouraging travelers to explore both destinations in one seamless experience.
Aïda Weinum, Director of Tourism, Office de Tourisme de Saint-Martin remarked that, “this strategic collaboration marks an exciting step forward for both islands, reinforcing our commitment to expanding our reach and enhancing the visitor experience through joint efforts. Our respective teams remain optimistic about the potential of this partnership and are eager to move forward with detailed planning in the coming months.”
“We are excited to explore this promising partnership with the Office de Tourisme de Saint-Martin. By aligning our strategies, we are paving the way for a collaborative effort to enhance the visibility of both destinations in key international markets,” said Stacey Liburd, Director of Tourism at the Anguilla Tourist Board. “Our mutual focus on the MICE segment, yachting, and multi-destination travel experiences presents a unique opportunity to highlight the best of Anguilla and Saint Martin to the world. We look forward to working closely together to bring these initiatives to life and establish meaningful connections that will benefit the tourism sectors of both islands.”
