London culinary charm spreads to Bangkok Café Wolseley makes its mark

Café Wolseley, an esteemed culinary destination hailing from London, is thrilled to announce the transformation of its highly acclaimed pop-up at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel into a permanent establishment. This transition comes on the heels of a tremendously successful one-year residency, marking an exciting new phase in the global expansion of The Wolseley Hospitality Group, renowned for its iconic London venues like The Wolseley and The Delaunay.

Inspired by the grand café culture of Europe, Café Wolseley Bangkok flawlessly combines British elegance with continental charm. Its menu offers a captivating blend of Wolseley classics and innovative culinary delights. The ground-floor ambiance exudes a harmonious mix of timeless allure and modern sophistication, creating an inviting backdrop to indulge in signature dishes like the “Prawn & Avocado Cocktail,” featuring succulent king prawns and avocado atop crisp shredded gem lettuce, dressed with zesty ‘Marie rose’ sauce. Other highlights include the tender “Wolseley Coq au Vin,” showcasing marinated chicken braised in rich red wine alongside pancetta and button mushrooms, and the indulgent “Black Forest Gateaux” adorned with griotte cherry, kirsch, and sumptuous chocolate.

The refreshed à la carte menu begins with a premium seafood selection featuring dressed Dorset Crab, Antonius Oscietra Caviar, and an array of Fines de Claire and Krystale Oysters. Starters cater to meat enthusiasts with European classics like Steak Tartare with spicy relish and Classic Eggs Benedict with York ham. French brasserie favorites include Classic Onion Soup and Escargots finished with a dash of Pernod. For lighter options, guests can enjoy Yellow-Fin Tuna tartare, Smoked Salmon, or Sea Bream Ceviche.

The menu retains Café Wolseley’s standout dishes like the twice-cooked Soufflé Suisse with parmesan and a selection of classic grill delights from Wagyu rib-eye to pork chops. The vegetarian offerings have been expanded to include a Wild Mushroom Stroganoff and a flavorful Cauliflower and Chickpea makhani curry served with mango chutney and chapatis.

For those with limited time, the ever-changing prix fixe lunch menu (THB 900++ for two courses or THB 1,250++ with dessert) offers a refined yet satisfying selection of options like Pea Soup with mint and crème fraîche or Smoked Duck Breast Salad, followed by main courses such as grilled Pork Chop or pan-seared Sea Bream and ending with sweet treats like Coconut & Lime Sorbet or Chocolate Éclair. Additionally, the recently launched Wolseley Afternoon Tea presents a traditional experience with finger sandwiches, homemade scones, and cakes, with the option to add a touch of luxury with a glass of Laurent Perrier Champagne. Available daily from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm, the experience is priced at THB 1,950++ for two, while the Champagne set is THB 4,150++ for two.

Café Wolseley is situated in the Parichart Court at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel and operates from Monday to Saturday for lunch from 12.00 pm to 2.30 pm and Monday to Sunday for dinner from 6.00 pm to 10.30 pm. Advance booking is available for a private dining room accommodating up to 20 guests, perfect for special occasions.
