The strike is scheduled to take place on the following dates:
Tuesday, December 5th: C2C and Greater Anglia (including Stansted Express)
Wednesday, December 6th: Gatwick Express, South Western Railway (including Island Line), Southeastern, and Southern
Thursday, December 7th: CrossCountry, Great Western Railway, and Heathrow Express
Friday, December 8th: Northern and TransPennine Express
Additionally, ASLEF trade union members at the above train operators will not work overtime from Friday, December 1st, to Saturday, December 9th.
The strike is expected to significantly impact services on the affected operators on the respective days, potentially affecting early services the following morning. The overtime ban may also cause additional disruption.
Travelers are advised to check the live details for December 1st – December 8th in the journey planner. Notifications have been sent to passengers whose booked trains have been canceled or modified.
Details for services on Saturday, December 9th, are expected to be confirmed soon. Passengers with affected bookings will receive direct communication once the information is confirmed.
Refund options are available for passengers with tickets valid from December 2nd to December 8th on the affected operators. These tickets are now valid anytime from December 1st up to December 12th, provided they were purchased before November 17th. Passengers can use their tickets on any train with the same operator between those dates without altering their booking.
For passengers who prefer not to travel on a day impacted by strikes, refunds can be claimed. The refund request can be submitted via ‘My Bookings’ or on the app under ‘My Tickets.’
In cases where a return journey is affected, and only one leg of the journey is impacted by the strikes, passengers can request a fee-free refund or change of journey for both legs if all tickets remain unused. This policy also applies to two single tickets that together form a return journey.
