ITA Airways and KLM have signed a new codeshare agreement. The agreement will enable passengers to book ITA Airways tickets to KLM's European destinations and KLM customers will be able to book tickets to ITA Airways’s Domestic Italy and Southern Europe destinations. ITA Airways and KLM will facilitate easy transfers for passengers to connecting flights at the airports Rome Fiumicino The agreement will come into effect on [1 December] and will give ITA Airways customers access to more destinations in Northern Europe
The partnership will allow ITA Airways customers to book tickets to Northern Europe ( United Kingdom, Finland, Sweden, Denmark) and KLM passengers will be able to fly with ITA Airways via Rome to Palermo, Reggio Calabria, Bari, Brindisi, Lamezia Terme and Trieste in Italy, to Malta, and to the Albanian city of Tirana.
Thanks to this agreement, ITA Airways’ and KLM’s customers can fly seamlessly to their chosen destinations with a single ‘unique’ ticket, checking in at the airport of departure, and collecting their checked-through baggage at the end of their trip in the arrival airport.
The codeshare flights are now available for sale through the airlines’ respective websites (ita- airways.com and klm.it), reservation systems and in travel agencies.
