InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) is gaining an increased foothold in the UK’s extended stay hotel market with the signing of its second property in the capital - Staybridge Suites London Vauxhall. The hotel is due to open early in 2015.
Operating under a franchise agreement with new owner Spring Mews Ltd; a subsidiary of CLS Holdings plc, the 93 suite new build hotel will be managed by Cycas Hospitality, extended stay hotel specialists, who also manage Staybridge Suites London Stratford City and Staybridge Suites Liverpool.
Part of the Spring Mews development project, the hotel will be situated on Albert Embankment, one of London’s key regeneration areas. The hotel has excellent transport links with major rail stations: Vauxhall Station, Waterloo Station and Victoria Station are all located within a two mile radius.
In a city dominated by short-stay hotels, Staybridge Suites aims to provide guests with a home away from home. The spacious apartment-style suites feature fully equipped kitchens, LED TV’s, large work areas and free Wi-Fi. Guests have use of the fitness room, business centre, laundry room (an industry first) and The Pantry, the brand's own convenience store that is open around the clock. Staybridge Suites Hotels also offer a complimentary full breakfast buffet and a social evening reception three days a week.
Staybridge Suites London Vauxhall will be the fourth Staybridge Suites property in the UK alongside Liverpool, Newcastle and London Stratford which opened in 2008, 2009 and 2012 respectively. Staybridge Suites Birmingham opens later this year.
