Etihad Airways celebrates its 10th birthday at World Travel Market


Etihad Airways, the award-winning national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is celebrating 10 years of successful flying at World Travel Market.
As part of the celebrations, the airline, will be hosting a celebratory afternoon on Wednesday 6 November, with a special guest appearance from Ollie Lindsay Hague and Paul Doran Jones from the Harlequins Rugby team from 3pm – 5pm.  As part of the celebratory events visitors to the stand throughout the week will be entered into a prize draw to win a signed Number 10 Harlequins rugby shirt.
Throughout World Travel Market, visitors to the stand will also have the opportunity to race around Abu Dhabi in a F1 simulator as part of its sponsorship of the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.  Visitors to the stand will also be able to experience seats from all three seat classes including its renowned Diamond First suite.
Named the World’s Leading Airline for four consecutive years at the World Travel Awards, Etihad Airways will be promoting its global network including its latest destinations – Los Angeles from 1st June 2014 and Vietnam which launched on 1st October 2013,  as well as its increasingly popular leisure destinations Bangkok, the Maldives and Seychelles. The addition of Los Angeles to the Etihad network means the airline will span 96 passenger and cargo destinations in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia and North America.
In addition to the new destinations, there will be representatives from Etihad Holidays, a division of Etihad that offers a comprehensive range of complete holiday packages from the UK and other markets to many of the airline's destinations. The 2014 program features a choice of more than 700 hotels and 140 destinations in 45 countries, in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North America.
Etihad staff will be on hand to provide details about its airline partnerships, new technologies including in-flight Wi-Fi and recent product launches including the Flying Nanny programme.
Etihad will have representatives from partner airlines Jet Airways, Virgin Australia, Air Seychelles, Air Serbia, Air Berlin and Air Lingus on the stand to provide further information and answer any questions.
