Cruise Shipping Events portfolio unveils marketing-based, redesigned interactive website

MIAMI - Incorporating modern web standards and a contemporary design using colorful icons and more impactful imagery, Cruise Shipping Event Portfolio's completely redesigned website is now live at cruiseshippingevents.com. New features such as slideshows, accordions, and rollovers create a more interactive online environment, while clear, concise messaging enhances the site's effectiveness as a communications platform.

Implementing unified branding across all three events, the website includes sections covering the annual Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific and the biennial Seatrade Med events, which together with Cruise Shipping Miami compose the Cruise Events Portfolio owned and organized by UBM Live.

The next portfolio event is the 30th annual Cruise Shipping Miami scheduled March 10-13, 2014, at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The CSM 2014 section can be accessed directly at cruiseshippingmiami.com.

"The new clean design reflects the portfolio's new brand look and feel with a marketing-based versus a portal-based approach," said Daniel Read, director of UBM Live's Cruise Events Portfolio. "It's innovative, edgy and forward-looking - like the cruise industry itself."

From the home page at cruiseshippingmiami.com it is simple to navigate to the Miami, Asia-Pacific or Mediterranean event; register as a delegate or visitor, or exhibit at Cruise Shipping Miami. Registration for delegates and visitors is not yet open, but by pre-registering using the online form, attendees will be alerted when registration officially opens.

In the Cruise Shipping Miami section, there are tabs explaining who attends the show, who exhibits, show facts, a frequently asked questions section and a contact tab.

For exhibitors, there is an extensive section outlining the benefits of exhibiting and covering the range of additional promotional and sponsorship opportunities available, including participation in the new-for-2014 Grand Tasting Pavilion and Cruise Trends Theater.

The video tab links to several videos that illustrate what the Miami show is about, from an overview of the event to networking opportunities available to a behind-the-scenes look at the buildup for the massive trade show that covers all four halls of the Miami Beach Convention Center.

A press tab offers access to the show's press release archive as well as downloadable logos, a press registration form and an explanation of the event's media policy.

Finally, a travel tab has links and phone numbers for Convention Housing Partners, Cruise Shipping Miami's only approved reservations partner for official convention hotels. Discounted rates are offered at a number of Miami Beach hotels and resorts at a variety of price points.

Since 1985 Cruise Shipping Miami has been the premier annual event of the worldwide cruise industry. From a small gathering of 150 cruise industry executives in a hotel meeting room in New York City, Cruise Shipping Miami has grown into a four-day conference and three-day exhibition drawing 11,000 attendees, more than 900 exhibiting companies from 123 countries and over 300 international journalists to become the cruise industry's annual marketplace of ideas, products and services.

Cruise Shipping Miami is exclusively supported by Cruise Lines International Association and Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association.
