Under the theme “The Value of Travel – Together, Let’s Reveal What Creates Impact,” the event will examine how tourism professionals can measure and demonstrate the real results of changes taking place across the industry.
The program will focus on three main areas: economic and territorial value, human and social value, and sustainable and collective value.
Technology, talent and sustainability take center stage
The economic track will explore changing business models, evolving value chains and the role of intermediaries, while examining how technology, data and artificial intelligence are becoming increasingly important competitiveness tools.
Changing traveler expectations and new professional practices will also feature prominently.
The human and social dimension will look at tourism talent, changing jobs, digital transformation and the quality of professional relationships. Several competitions will showcase emerging talent, including the Travel Agents Cup, Travel Agents Cup Junior, Orchestra Start-up Contest and the Lauriers du Voyage d’affaires.
Sustainability will be addressed through measurable impacts, reporting tools and industry cooperation, with IFTM positioning responsible tourism as a potential driver of competitiveness and long-term trust.
Uzbekistan will be the show’s featured destination for 2026. The Central Asian country is promoting its Silk Road heritage, including UNESCO-listed Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, alongside handicrafts, gastronomy, nature and adventure tourism.
Uzbekistan’s participation at IFTM Top Resa relies on its emergence as a strong tourism destination. The country welcomed 11.7 million visitors in 2025, up 30% from 2024, including 29,558 French visitors. During the first six months of 2026, 15,000 French travelers visited the destination.
A series of activities dedicated to Uzbekistan will run throughout the show.
IFTM is also introducing new formats designed to make business meetings more targeted. The Club Affaires launched a matchmaking program offering pre-qualified one-to-one meetings between exhibitors and corporate buyers on September 17. Exhibitors and buyers were able to select each other through the event’s Everywhere platform.
The show is also introducing a limited Premium Ticket for 50 participants, offering targeted meetings, a reserved business-meeting table and VIP access for two people per day.
The “Village des Initiatives Durables” (“Village of Sustainable Initiatives”) by mN’O will return with expanded programming, including personalized visitor tours, sustainable businesses, live podcasts, workshops and stronger “Stand Up for the Planet” sessions.
Other highlights include AI, business travel and MICE barometers, the Africa Convention, technology-focused sessions, Destination France training and the Travel Agents Cup finals.
The digital Colleqt system will again allow visitors to exchange contact details by scanning QR codes at exhibitor stands.
IFTM Paris 2026 will take place at Paris Porte de Versailles, Hall 1, from September 15-17.
