AMGINE partners with Groupe Voyages VP on AI-powered travel automation

TORONTO, ON – AMGINE has entered into a partnership with Groupe Voyages VP, independent travel agency in Quebec, to introduce AI-powered automation across specialised travel management services in Eastern Canada.

The partnership covers two specialised areas of travel management: mining workforce travel and medical repatriation. AMGINE’s AI automation platform will initially support Groupe Voyages VP’s groups and events desk, with the companies planning to expand the collaboration across additional service lines over time.

Groupe Voyages VP manages more than $40 million in annual travel volume for clients across Eastern Canada. Its operations include time-sensitive travel coordination for mining operations and medical repatriation cases.

The company sought a technology partner as client expectations around speed and visibility increased, while maintaining its agent-led operating model.

Steven Lang, General Manager at Groupe Voyages VP, said: “AI gives us the opportunity to respond faster, improve visibility, and simplify some of the most complex parts of travel coordination, but it’s the expertise and personal service of our team that our clients value most. Partnering with AMGINE allows us to bring automation into our operations in a meaningful way while keeping our agents at the centre of the experience. For our mining and medical repatriation clients, where timing, accuracy, and responsiveness are critical, this is an important step forward in how we deliver service.”

Under the partnership, AMGINE’s AI automation platform will support the Groupe Voyages VP groups and events desk by streamlining workflows while keeping travel agents involved throughout the booking process. The companies expect the partnership to extend to additional service lines over time.

Greg Apple, CEO of AMGINE, said: “Groupe Voyages VP understands that technology should make great service even better. In mining workforce travel and medical repatriation, speed and accuracy really matter, and automation can remove manual steps so agents can respond faster and remain focused on their clients. We’re excited to start with groups and events and build from there as we help Groupe Voyages scale the exceptional service it is known for.”

Groupe Voyages VP’s mining division supports workforce travel for operations across Eastern Canada, coordinating travel arrangements for teams working in demanding environments.

Its medical repatriation service manages the return of individuals during critical situations, working with medical providers and other stakeholders to coordinate the process.

According to the companies, the partnership with AMGINE will provide uninterrupted travel support for these specialised travel programmes.
