LOT Polish Airlines launches a new, direct connection between Gdansk and Paris-Orly

 

  • LOT Polish Airlines launches sales for a direct route between Gdansk and Paris-Orly. The first aircraft is scheduled to take off on 5 April 2027.

Paris has been attracting travelers from around the world for many years, captivating them with its unique atmosphere, beauty, and extraordinary cultural richness. Here, every stroll is likely to become a mini-journey – from elegant boulevards and romantic alleyways to world-renowned monuments and museums. The capital of France delights hose exploring the city for the very first time and returning visitors alike. It is no wonder that for millions of travelers, it remains one of the places they long to return to, and serves as an inspiration to explore the rest of the world.
Paris has held an important place in the LOT Polish Airlines route network for many decades. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the launch of direct flights from Warsaw to the French capital – the first of which took place on 4 July 1946. To celebrate this anniversary, LOT is strengthening this long-standing relationship by launching a new year-round connection from Gdansk to Paris-Orly. The first flight on this route is schedule to take off on 5 April 2027. The flights will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Departures from Gdansk are scheduled for 5:00 PM, while the return flights from Paris-Orly will take to the skies at 8:20 PM. The flight will take approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. The launch of the new route is part of the process of optimizing LOT's network and will replace the Gdansk-Oslo connection.
Paris is one of key European economic and business centers, and also one of the most important tourist destinations. The launch of a direct flight from Gdansk strengthens the offering of LOT Polish Airlines available on the regional market and opens up new travel opportunities between Pomerania region and France. In the year marking the 80th anniversary of launching the original Warsaw-Paris connection, we are writing a new chapter of the story by adding Gdansk.

Paris – classic destination still holding numerous surprises

Paris delights not only with its extraordinary architecture and atmosphere, but also with the diversity of its districts, streets, and alleyways. From artistic Montmartre, through elegant Saint-Germain-des-Prés and the gallery- and café-filled Le Marais, to the banks of the Seine which, have been designated – as part of the city's historic center – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city if a truly unique destination enjoyed by lovers of art, architecture, and gastronomy. In addition to the most famous museums and historic landmarks, one may also enjoy intimate galleries, local markets, and restaurants, or try to discover the less touristy side of the city, known primarily to its residents.

Paris-Orly – convenient access to the French capital

The new route will be served by Paris-Orly Airport, located approximately 13 kilometers south of the city center. The airfield is located closer to the city than its main Charles de Gaulle hub, making Orly a convenient choice for passengers traveling both to the south of the capital and to the city center. The airport is directly connected to the Parisian public transport network – metro line 14 takes you from Orly to the city center in approximately 25-30 minutes, offering also, among others, a connection to Gare de Lyon and Châtelet-Les Halles train stations. Downtown may also be accessed by trams (line T7) and buses.
