The re-election took place during the 36th Annual Congress and General Assembly of ACI Europe, hosted by Prague Airport in the Czech Republic.
Commenting on his re-election, Stefan Schulte said: “I am honoured that ACI Europe and its members have reaffirmed their confidence in my leadership for a second term, extending my tenure for another year. As Europe’s airports face the need to decouple their financial viability and investment capabilities from volume growth, I will continue to do my utmost during this critical time to represent our airport community – from major hubs to vital smaller regional airports – while championing the interests of all our members.”
During the General Assembly, several airport executives were also elected to the ACI Europe Board for a first term.
These include George Kallimasias, Chief Executive Officer of Athens International Airport in Greece; Eleni Kaloyirou, Chief Executive Officer of Hermes Airports in Cyprus; Nazareno Ventola, Chief Executive Officer of Bologna Airport in Italy; Arnaud Feist, Chief Executive Officer of Brussels Airport in Belgium; Rémi Maumon de Longevialle, Chief Executive Officer of VINCI Airports in France; Pieter van Oord, Chief Executive Officer of Royal Schiphol Group in the Netherlands; Andrew Bell, Chief Executive Officer of Regional & City Airports in the United Kingdom; and Mats Johannesson, Chief Executive Officer of Swedavia in Sweden.
Two existing Board members were reappointed for a second term. They are Aletta von Massenbach, Chief Executive Officer of Berlin Brandenburg Airport in Germany, and Thomas Woldbye, Chief Executive Officer of London Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom.
The appointments were confirmed as part of ACI Europe’s annual governance process, bringing together airport leaders from across the continent to help guide the association’s strategic priorities and industry representation.
