AIDA Cruises connects at the World Cup Summer 2026 Football and Holiday at Sea. For this year's Football World Cup, AIDA Cruises is putting a sports program on board on selected voyages (11 to 27 June). Selected top games will be broadcast live, including the German national team's teams in the group stage. The games will be accompanied by moderators and former professionals, who will undertake pre- and post-reporting as well as half-time analyses. On the trip "Metropolen ab Hamburg" with AIDAperla from 13 to 20 June 2026, the preliminary match Germany against Curacao will be broadcast live on board on 14 June from 19:00. Lou Richter, known for decades as a TV moderator and media professional, who accompanies the football night with great routine and sense of entertainment, leads the broadcast. As experts, former Bundesliga pro and TV expert Michael Schulz as well as Peter Neururer, one of the most profiled coaching characters in German football, analyze the game.
On board AIDAprima on the voyage "Norwegian Fjorde from Hamburg" from 12 to 21 June 2026 are also two preliminary games of the German national team on the program: Germany against Curacao on 14 June from 1900: Germany against Germany as well as Germany.
