Tivoli Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Tivoli Maiorana Belém Pará Hotel, the brand’s third property in Brazil and its first hotel in the country’s northern region.
The new hotel is located in the city of Belém, capital of the state of Pará, an urban centre known as a gateway to the Amazon region and recognised for its cultural, environmental and gastronomic significance.
Following the hosting of the COP30 conference last November, Belém has drawn increased international attention due to its environmental relevance and its role in discussions surrounding the Amazon.
The hotel is situated in the Campina neighbourhood, one block from the waterfront and overlooking Guajará Bay. The location offers proximity to several of the city’s landmarks, including Estação das Docas, Ver-o-Peso Market, Praça da República and the Basilica of Nazaré.
The property features 176 accommodations, including guest rooms, four suites and two Presidential Suites.

The Presidential Suites, located on the upper floors, each cover 220 square metres and include panoramic views of Guajará Bay, a master bedroom with a king-size bed, separate living and dining areas, a bathtub and 24-hour butler service.
The design of the hotel incorporates contemporary architecture combined with regional materials and elements inspired by the Amazonian environment.
At the rooftop level, the hotel houses SEEN Belém, a dining concept created by Portuguese chef and entrepreneur Olivier da Costa. The rooftop restaurant and bar offers views over Guajará Bay and features a menu combining Brazilian and international cuisine.

Additional dining options include Must Restaurant & Bar, the Lobby Café and the Wine Bar & Trattoria. The culinary programme is led by Executive Chef Frederico Miranda, with a focus on regional ingredients.
The property will also feature the Anantara Spa, offering treatments inspired by Thai wellness traditions combined with elements derived from Amazonian natural ingredients.
The wellness facilities include four treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge and a sauna. The hotel also offers a rooftop outdoor swimming pool and the Tivoli Shape fitness centre.
For meetings and events, the hotel includes five meeting and convention rooms with natural light, accommodating up to 500 participants and equipped with event technology and support services.
Belém provides access to cultural and natural attractions including the Ver-o-Peso Market, one of the largest open-air markets in Latin America, and the ecological park Mangal das Garças overlooking Guajará Bay.

Visitors can also explore historical sites such as the Forte do Presépio and the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi, which focus on the region’s colonial history and biodiversity.
The city is also known for the Círio de Nazaré, a religious festival held annually in October.
The opening expands the presence of Tivoli Hotels & Resorts in Brazil, where the brand already operates the Tivoli Ecoresort Praia do Forte in Bahia and the Tivoli Mofarrej São Paulo.
The brand, founded in Lisbon in 1933, currently operates properties across Portugal, Brazil, Qatar and China, and has recently expanded its presence in Europe with new openings in Spain, Italy and the Netherlands.
