Northern Territory and Victoria host UK trade roadshow

Tourism & Events Northern Territory and Visit Victoria recently wrapped up successful UK agent training events in London and Manchester.

The two Aussie regions presented to more than 160 UK based agents.

It gave them the chance to showcase the destinations, with suppliers raising awareness of specific products and experiences among front-line sellers in the UK.

For agents, the two events gave them a deeper understanding of the tourism products offered in both Australian states and the opportunity to connect with operators directly.

There was also a prize draw at each event for a holiday, which included return flights with Singapore Airlines and experiences in both the Northern Territory and Victoria.

Additionally, a spot was given away at both roadshows for a June Fam trip visiting both regions, again flying with Singapore Airlines.

The roadshow ended with a product manager workshop held in Windsor, enabling the 24 product managers in attendance to conduct 1 to 1 meetings.

The roadshow showcased a diverse range of hotels, tour operators, touring routes and experiential products.

Alongside the team from both tourist boards, representatives from 24 operators took part.

Victoria’s delegation included Melbourne River Cruises, Hidden Secrets Tours, Foodie Trails, Local Ways Tours, Explore Australia Tours, Great Southern Touring Route, Go Beyond Melbourne Touring Route, Koorie Heritage Trust, Acacia Luxury Private Tours, Great Private Touring, Great Ocean Road Resort, and Sunnymead Hotel | The Monty.

A representative from Visit Victoria also attended to raise awareness of indigenous experiences within Victoria.

Meanwhile, the Northern Territory contingent featured G’Day Group, Emu Run Experience, Nitmiluk Tours, Voyages Indigenous Tourism, Tourism Central Australia, Top End Marketing Co, Adventure Tours Australia, Australian Walking Company, Kakadu Air, Journey Beyond, and Autopia Tours.
