With this addition, Blue Reef Beach Resort joins The Belize Collection’s hospitality portfolio in Southern Belize, alongside The Rainforest Lodge at Sleeping Giant and The Lodge at Jaguar Reef. The expansion marks a new phase for the established beachfront destination while maintaining its role within the Placencia community.
The Belize Collection stated that its management approach focuses on authentic Belizean experiences and elevated resort operations, while respecting the resort’s long-standing local presence. The company noted that guests and local stakeholders can expect enhanced operational standards and updates across multiple aspects of the guest experience.
As part of the transition, Executive Chef Rahim Melendez will
oversee the resort’s culinary direction, bringing his creative approach to
flavor, technique, and storytelling through food to the on-site dining venues.

Blue Reef Beach Resort and Marina will continue to operate without
interruption during the management transition. According to the announcement,
