“One Caribbean: Infinite Experiences” highlighted at Travel & Adventure Show

WASHINGTON – The Caribbean Tourism Organization highlighted its 2026 regional theme, “One Caribbean: Infinite Experiences,” during the Travel & Adventure Show held on January 17–18 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

The event provided a platform to present how a unified regional vision translates into diverse and differentiated travel experiences, reflecting a broader shift toward authenticity and personalization in travel demand.

During a Sunday presentation titled “Authentic Caribbean Experiences for Every Traveler”, the organization’s Secretary-General and Chief Executive Officer described the Caribbean as a mosaic of distinct destinations rather than a single, uniform offering. The presentation outlined how destinations across the region are increasingly developing tailored experiences for niche segments such as eco-adventure, wellness, and culinary travel.

The Sunday session followed a panel discussion on Saturday titled “Caribbean Luxury Reimagined”, moderated by the Secretary-General. The panel examined changing perceptions of luxury travel and featured representatives from the Jamaica Tourist Board and Norwegian Cruise Line.

During the discussion, modern luxury was described as highly personal and experience-driven. Referring to an example from her home country of Saint Lucia, the Secretary-General noted how a simple personal request at a luxury resort resulted in a customized experience.

“For us in the Caribbean, luxury is taken to another level,” she said, emphasizing the role of meaningful moments and genuine human connection in premium travel experiences.

Additional updates from the panel included insights into Jamaica’s luxury tourism development, highlighting a range of offerings from five-star resorts to white-glove service, as well as new hotel projects and the island’s first casino. Cruise sector developments were also discussed, with references to luxury onboard concepts and upcoming ship launches.

Throughout the event, the “One Caribbean” theme was positioned as a reflection of the region’s collective strength in a competitive global travel environment.

“When the Caribbean is experienced as a unified region, our collective potential becomes truly limitless,” she said. “As we step into 2026, we enter a new chapter defined by opportunity and by the bold, forward-looking choices we will make together.”

She also reaffirmed the region’s focus on safety and innovation, stating: “The world continues to look to the Caribbean with renewed interest. Together, we will show what is possible.”

The Travel & Adventure Show series continues this weekend in New York at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
