Orient Express and Guerlain bring The Guerlain Spa to Orient Express Corinthian from June 2026

Orient Express and Guerlain are joining forces to create a new wellness-focused product at sea, with The Guerlain Spa set to debut aboard Orient Express Sailing Yachts in June 2026. The spa will be located on Orient Express Corinthian, the first of the Orient Express Sailing Yachts and described as the largest sailing yacht in the world.

The Guerlain Spa onboard Orient Express Sailing Yachts is positioned as an “ode to the art of wellness.” On Orient Express Corinthian it will occupy 500 square meters (5,380 sq ft) and will include four treatment suites, among them a VIP double suite for couples. Facilities will also comprise a gentle sauna, a relaxation lounge, a barber studio, a beauty salon, a fitness space, and a lap lane with open-sky views. The concept is built around quiet, touch and scent as core elements of the guest experience.

Guerlain has developed a set of signature experiences specifically for this setting. Wave Serenity focuses on deep relaxation, using cool, wave-like spoons on the face combined with a gentle leg massage. Aqua Odyssey is described as a resynchronizing journey inspired by the Aqua Allegoria universe, using tonic pressures and energizing gestures to stimulate circulation. Soleil Plein Sud prepares and regenerates the skin before and after sun exposure with a honey-enriched ritual, while Ocean awakening alternates warm and cool sensations and more intense gestures to release movement and energy.

Beyond individual treatments, Guerlain will also offer wellness retreats that run throughout the voyage. These programmes are structured around four pillars: nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and mindfulness. They include guided meditations, movement sessions, spa rituals, and nature-immersive experiences. Guerlain’s Wellness Experts will lead these activities, with the aim of supporting guests across the full duration of the cruise.

Philippe Hetland-Brault, President of Orient Express Sailing Yachts, commented: “This alliance unites two French icons of elegance and savoir-faire. With Guerlain, we reimagine the art of travel and wellness, creating a sanctuary where beauty, refinement, and destinations discoveries converge. Aboard Orient Express Sailing Yachts, our guests will embark on journeys that are as enriching for the soul as they are unforgettable in the experience through experiences lived both at sea and on shore, and the joy of discovering new destinations as you arrive by the ocean! That’s what makes all the difference.”

Gabrielle Saint-Genis, CEO at Guerlain, added: “We are proud to unveil our partnership with Orient Express Sailing Yachts, a collaboration that redefines the art of luxury wellness. Together, we will craft Guerlain spa experiences that transcend beauty – immersing guests in rituals that nourish both body and soul. This alliance brings our shared commitment to heritage, elegance, and innovation to life on the high seas. It is a new chapter in holistic indulgence, where every detail speaks the language of timeless luxury.”

From a hardware perspective, Orient Express Corinthian measures 220 meters (721 ft) and sails under three masts. The yacht will offer just 54 suites, ranging from 43 m2 (463 sq ft) to 225 m2 (2,422 sq ft), all with panoramic views. Built over four years at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in France, the vessel has been conceived with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, from its hand-finished interiors to carefully selected materials and lighting.

French Architect and Artistic Director of Orient Express, Maxime d’Angeac, is responsible for the interior design, which is described as a “floating palace” combining handcrafted materials, curated artworks, vintage-inspired lighting, and sculptural furnishings. Sustainability is embedded in the yacht’s design, including innovations in wind propulsion using the sails, energy optimization onboard, and an overall approach intended to minimize environmental impact.

Cultural and lifestyle components are also integrated into the onboard offer. Guests will have access to a library of 1,500 rare books, a cinema inspired by the golden age of film, and a musical salon hosting intimate concerts and cultural encounters. Dining will be overseen by multi-Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno, whose French gastronomy at sea is positioned as part of the overall sensory journey.

Orient Express Corinthian sets sail in June 2026 through the Mediterranean, followed by its Caribbean season in October 2026.
