  • The inaugural flight to Bangkok will take off on 26 October 2026.

In recent years, Asia has become increasingly popular both among tourists and business travellers. LOT Polish Airlines is constantly monitoring the market and paying great attention to the latest travel trends, as it strives to meet the expectations of passengers by continuously expanding its offering of long-haul flights. Bangkok will be the carrier’s next proposal, following in the footsteps of the recently announced connection to San Francisco.

Long-distance connections are one of the key pillars of LOT Polish Airlines’ growth strategy. The launch of the Warsaw-Bangkok route is another important step in the expansion of our global route network. Thailand has been, for many years now, one of the most popular destinations among Polish travellers. It combines huge tourism potential with the growing business significance of South-East Asia. Bangkok is a bustling and dynamic metropolis, a gateway to the entire region, offering a wealth of unique cultural and culinary experiences. By offering a direct flight from Warsaw, we provide passengers with a convenient, comfortable and competitive connection that meets the real needs of the market. We are happy to invite passengers to discover Thailand with LOT Polish Airlines and are proud of connecting Poland with another of key global destinations.

Congratulations to LOT Polish Airlines on the occasion of launching flights from Warsaw to Bangkok. This success is the result of the hard work, cooperation, and strong determination of LOT Polish Airlines, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw, and numerous other related agencies from both countries. We believe that in the future it will not only benefit tourism but also create opportunities for trade, investment, and education between the two countries. Most importantly, the Thai people are ready to welcome all visitors with warm hospitality.

It can be said - without a shadow of a doubt - that Bangkok is a city well capable of meeting travellers’ expectations. This bustling metropolis promises a truly unforgettable experience. Only here, unique landscapes created by the flora and the fauna may be admired together with the majestic buildings that have survived for thousands of years. What else does Bangkok have to offer?

Temples telling amazing stories

Wat Saket, also known as the Golden Mountain, is one of the most important spiritual sites one may visit in the Thai capital. A great number of steps needs to be climbed to reach the top of the mountain on which the temple is perched, but the panoramic view of the entire city is definitely worth the trouble. During the annual Loy Krathong festival, one of Thailand’s most solemn events, the building becomes a place of celebration and spiritual exaltation. It is worth visiting both the inside of the structure - with the Buddha statue and the main prayer hall - and admiring it from the outside - as it is surrounded by beautiful gardens where a moment of peace and quite may be enjoyed.
With its majestic ambience and unique atmosphere, Wat Pho temple also does not disappoint as well. It is one of the oldest centres of this type in Bangkok and is very important not only for followers of Buddhism, but also for tourists. It is primarily known for its huge reclining Buddha statue (one of the largest in all of Thailand) which measures 46 meters in length and is covered in gold plate. Additionally, the temple is home to one of the oldest massage schools in the country, where an authentic Thai massage session may be enjoyed.

A bustling metropolis with mystical traces of history

No trip to Bangkok is complete without a visit to the Grand Royal Palace. Being a symbol of Thailand’s rich culture and history, this huge complex hides countless temples, gardens, buildings and palaces. Of particular note is Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, considered the holiest religious site in the country. Consisting of golden towers, colourful mosaics and intimidating statues, the building houses a breathtaking statue of the Emerald Buddha, which was made from a single block of jade! Interestingly, the entire complex is located in the heart of Bangkok, which only adds to its unique character.
But Bangkok has much more to offer - places teeming with high energy levels and stimulating visitors to live their lives to the fullest. Khao San Road, a street famous for never falling asleep, is one of such locations. Its lively atmosphere is especially palpable in the evenings, when the local street food stands tempt with unique flavours, and the inviting interiors of bars and restaurants lure visitors with live music. Here, one can often find local vendors offering traditional foods, drinks or fresh fruit. Places like this allow visitors to really soak up the Asian vibe and live it to the fullest.

For slightly older travellers (children between the ages of 2 and 12), LOT Polish Airlines has prepared a specially designed, aviation-themed bag with crayons, colouring books and LOT’s mascot.
