The FITUR 4all professional conference is positioned as a leading
international forum for accessible tourism, bringing together public
authorities, destinations, tourism businesses and international organisations.
Discussions will focus on accessibility as a strategic driver of
competitiveness, innovation and positive social impact within the global
tourism industry. Alongside the professional programme, a dedicated awareness
and knowledge workshop day for the general public will take place on Saturday, 24
January.
FITUR 4all 2026 will open with a high-level institutional discussion linked
to Spain’s updated destination positioning under the brand message “Think you
know Spain? Think again.” The session will explore how accessibility and equal
opportunities are being integrated into Spain’s tourism proposition,
particularly in key markets such as the United States and the United Kingdom.
Practical destination case studies, including Valencia, will illustrate how a
cross-cutting approach to accessibility can enhance overall destination quality
and expand market reach.
Territorial transformation will be a core theme of the programme, with Mallorca, sponsor of the FITUR 4all section, presented as an example of a destination combining accessibility, sustainability and tourism governance. The case will demonstrate how inclusive policies contribute to visitor loyalty and social cohesion at destination level.
Social sustainability will also feature prominently, with participation
from public sector representatives from Peru, Colombia, the Barcelona
Provincial Council and Vizcaya. An international perspective will be added
through contributions from the World Sustainable Hospitality
Alliance, reinforcing the message that sustainability strategies are
incomplete without equal access and inclusion.
The international scope of FITUR 4all 2026 will be further underlined by
the participation of destinations and organisations from Flanders, Germany and
Austria. Data-driven sessions will address market trends confirming that
accessibility is no longer a niche segment, but an increasingly important
factor in destination and business competitiveness.
Technology will play a central role in the programme, with companies such
as iUrban, Visualfy, Navilens and ParkDis showcasing digital solutions designed
to remove barriers and improve autonomy for travellers with access needs.
The conference on 23 January will conclude with the presentation of the 3rd
FITUR 4all Awards, recognising destinations, companies and organisations that
are leading the transition towards more accessible and responsible tourism
models.
