Eurowings brings new Premium BIZ Seat to North Rhine-Westphalia, Hamburg and Stuttgart

Christmas surprise for Eurowings guests: Following the successful introduction of the new Premium BIZ Seat on the Berlin-Dubai test route, Germany's largest holiday airline is now taking the next step: a second aircraft with the innovative 2×2 premium seating is now in service. Unlike the market test from Berlin, this Airbus A320neo will be used across the entire Eurowings route network – enabling BIZclass guests outside Berlin to experience the new seat for the first time.

The special highlight: for a transitional period, the Premium BIZ Seat will be offered at no extra charge outside the Berlin–Dubai route. The aircraft will serve as a technical reserve for the Berlin-Dubai market test. No fixed route assignment is planned for the second Airbus A320neo for the time being. Accordingly, the seat cannot be booked specifically, allowing guests on selected flights to benefit from the new premium product free of charge.

‘With the second aircraft, we are rapidly expanding our premium BIZ Seat offering beyond Berlin-Dubai,’ says Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings. ‘The fact that we are offering the seat at no extra charge during the transition phase is a clear signal: we want to give as many travelers as possible the chance to experience the new product. Direct customer feedback is extremely valuable to us.’

Test without extra charge – also from Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Hamburg and Stuttgart
Guests can now experience the Premium BIZ Seat on many different routes, including from Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Hamburg and Stuttgart. The aircraft will be used primarily on popular leisure routes, such as to Mallorca or the Canary Islands. This means that travelers at other locations will also benefit from the additional comfort of a wider seat configuration and more privacy.

A catalyst for the future
Eurowings, awarded Europe's best low-cost airline in 2025 by British rating agency Skytrax, is thus underlining its claim to redefine premium comfort in the value segment. The trial across the entire Eurowings route network complements the market test on the Berlin-Dubai route and also provides valuable insights for the further development of future cabin concepts.
