LOT Polish Airlines inaugurates a direct connection between Warsaw and Stavanger

  • On 24 November 2025, LOT Polish Airlines inaugurated a direct flights from Warsaw to Stavanger.
  • The national carrier will operate flights on the WAW-SVG route four times a week, all year round.
  • Stavanger is the latest addition to the network of LOT’s Northern European destinations - flights to Reykjavik were launched in April this year, while a seasonal Warsaw-Rovaniemi connection will be inaugurated on 27 November 2025.
On 24 November 2025, LOT Polish Airlines launched a new direct connection to Stavanger, enabling passengers to get to know one of Scandinavia's most beautiful regions - a location that delights with raw natural beauty, impressive rock formations and a wealth of local traditions. LOT Polish Airlines flights to the land of the fjords will be offered as part of a regular schedule all year round. The national carrier will be welcoming passengers aboard its LO489 flights departing for Stavanger at 8:10 am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The return flight LO490 to Warsaw Chopin Airport will be leaving at 11:25 am on the same days. The flight time will equal approximately 2 hours.

It is estimated that there are currently approximately 110,000 Poles living in Norway, making them one of the largest ethnic groups in the country. I do believe that our direct flights to Stavanger will facilitate travel between Poland and Norway, complementing the existing connections to Oslo. The Stavanger and Rogaland region is not only one of the most important oil industry centers in Europe - it is also an area that stands out thanks to its tourist attractions which continuously lure increasing numbers of travelers. We invite everyone to discover Scandinavia together with LOT Polish Airlines.

Perfect setting for hikers

The Rogaland region tempts with a network of trekking trails with varying lengths and difficulty levels. From short hikes to Preikestolen to all-day expeditions to the Kjerag mountains, each step offers an opportunity to encounter wildlife and marvel at the monumental landscapes of fjords and rocky cliffs. In addition to the most famous vista points, it is also worth exploring the smaller hills and hidden terraces around Stavanger, revealing new panoramas of waterfalls, fjords and rugged coastline at any time of year. While wandering about, one should stop by at the picturesque fishing villages, where colorful houses are reflected in the mirror-like surface of the bay’s waters. A hike along the waterfront, a fish market full of local specialties and cozy cafes overlooking the harbor create a unique aura that allows you to get a true feel for the Norwegian way of life.
