MADRID – FITUR 2026 is placing innovation at the forefront of its international agenda with a major expansion of its Travel Technology area, which will grow by 50% compared with last year. The fair, taking place from 21 to 25 January, is responding to the accelerating demand for digital solutions, artificial intelligence and connected experiences that now shape global tourism competitiveness.

More than 150 companies from over 20 countries have already confirmed participation two months ahead of the event. Exhibitors will represent a diverse group of innovation-driven markets including Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Brazil, China, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States and Turkey.

A key development for 2026 is the relocation of Travel Technology to FITUR’s new Knowledge Hub in Hall 12. This dedicated space is designed to connect advanced technology, professional training, high-tech trends and commercial activity. Its aim is to enhance FITUR’s role as the central meeting point where AI, automation, data analytics, distribution, digital marketing, smart mobility and immersive experience solutions converge.

The expanded area will feature leading technology providers such as Amadeus, Travelgate, Roommatik, Septeo, Juniper Travel Technology, BEONx, Tech Tourism Cluster and RoibackBusiness France will also host an innovation showcase highlighting emerging start-ups and underlining the platform’s importance for global market visibility.

The continued growth of Travel Technology at FITUR reflects the sector’s increasing relevance for tourism destinations and businesses. Digital tools are now essential for strengthening competitiveness, enhancing the traveller experience, improving operational and energy efficiency, and enabling the development of new data-driven business models. FITUR 2026’s strengthened technology offering underscores its position as a key forum where technology providers, tourism operators, destinations, investors and stakeholders across the value chain can exchange insights and shape the sector’s future.
