The Travel Institute offers tuition assistance for TRIPKIT training program

FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Travel Institute has announced a limited-time tuition assistance offer for its TRIPKIT training program. TRIPKIT is widely recognised as a foundational education course for new travel advisors, used by individuals, agencies, and vocational schools to build job-ready skills.

The initiative is part of the organisation’s annual “TRIP of a Lifetime” campaign, aimed at supporting professional development and attracting new talent to the travel industry.

Training designed to boost advisor readiness

TRIPKIT is a self-paced online training program that includes:

  • Guided learning modules
  • Insider sessions with industry experts
  • On-demand coaching
  • Progress-based training support
  • Knowledge assessments and quizzes
  • Final TAP Test (Travel Agent Proficiency) certification

“Starting a career in travel is rewarding but it can also be overwhelming,” shared Guida Botelho, CTIE, senior director of education for The Travel Institute. “With so much to know in our complex, ever-evolving industry and with so many training options available, TRIPKIT remains the go-to, trusted source for industry newcomers wanting to become truly job ready,” Botelho continued.

Addressing the industry talent shortage

Recent surveys show a growing concern about workforce shortages in travel agencies:

  • 36% of agencies lost experienced staff during the pandemic
  • 66% of advisors are expected to retire soon
  • 69% of agencies plan to hire, but only 7% believe qualified candidates are easy to find

As the industry rebuilds, demand for trained advisors continues to rise. TRIPKIT enrolments have grown an average of 51% over the past two years.

Graduates are listed on The Travel Institute’s Hire Me platform, which connects certified candidates with agencies looking to recruit trained advisors.
