Organized by Travel Weekly, one of the most influential travel trade publications in the United States, the Magellan Awards honor the best in the global travel industry, recognizing outstanding achievements in branding, service, marketing and design. Winners are selected through a rigorous evaluation process conducted by a panel of respected travel industry experts.
This year's recognition highlights Korean Air's ongoing investment in enhancing the passenger experience. Following the launch of its new corporate identity, the airline renewed its in-flight amenities and menus.
Premium class passengers now enjoy an exclusive amenity kit featuring skincare products and a signature fragrance from luxury brand Graff. First Class passengers can also request a turndown service with premium linens, and are provided with loungewear and slippers for added comfort. In June, the airline also added quilted mattress pads to its long-haul Prestige Class service for improved comfort.
Korean Air’s culinary program has been elevated to reflect its heritage and commitment to fine dining. The new menus showcase Korean identity through modern interpretations of traditional cuisine made with local ingredients and authentic techniques, served on elegant new tableware. Since September, the airline has also refined its special dietary menus, improving ingredients and recipes across seven options, including diabetic, gluten-free and low-fat meals.
In the digital space, Korean Air continues to advance accessibility and convenience. In September, the airline’s website and mobile app both received official web accessibility certifications, ensuring usability for all customers, including those with disabilities. The mobile app has also been upgraded with a new real-time airport navigation feature for Incheon International Airport, guiding travelers seamlessly from check-in to boarding.
