With summer vacation in full swing, many Americans are taking advantage of the warm weather to travel, both domestically and internationally. A new travel trend report from Talker Research that examines the travel perceptions, ambitions and generational takes of 2,000 consumers.
Here are some highlights from the report:
- Excluding work travel, the average American polled goes on 2.5 trips and spends $3,409 annually
- The average person reports feeling 67% better mentally after a trip
- The average respondent has about 5 items on their “travel bucket list”
- The average American reports wanting to save up to three months of their rent/mortgage to spend on a trip
