Global flight cancellations increased by 31% in May, making it an operationally challenging month. The Asia-Pacific region was particularly affected, contributing more than half (53%) of all cancellations. Additionally, North America experienced considerable disruption, making up almost a quarter (23%) of the total, largely due to severe weather during the Memorial Day travel season.
