WDA appoints Patrick Kruger as hospitality practice principal

William Duff Architects (WDA) has named Patrick Kruger as the new leader of its hospitality practice. Partnering closely with Managing Principal William Duff and Associate Principal Jonathan Tsurui, Kruger will help drive the practice’s growth into boutique hospitality and resort lodging.

Kruger joins WDA with more than 30 years of experience in hospitality design. His work spans globally, having designed projects around the world while honing his skills in key leadership roles at international firms like Michael Graves and WATG. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the advisory board of ALIS DESIGN+.

“I am privileged to join WDA, a firm renowned for its unparalleled level of design and the exceptional quality of its team,” said Kruger. “The commitment to excellence in every detail resonates deeply with my own values and aspirations. As I step into this new chapter, I look forward to contributing to and growing the hospitality practice and bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the table.”

Duff said, “Patrick adds a whole new spectrum of experience, industry knowledge and design talent to the firm. He’s a great cultural fit and his contributions will enable us to expand our unique design approach and creative offerings to boutique hospitality and resort lodging projects.”
