More European countries get visa free travel to China

China has added eight more European countries to its ever-expanding visa-free scheme.

Travellers from Bulgaria, Romania, Malta, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Estonia and Latvia soon get visa-free entry to China.

Nationals of these countries and Japan can enter visa-free starting from 30 November 2024 until the end of 2025.

It gives stays of up to 30 days without the need to apply for a vias.

China has been rapidly expanding visa-free travel recently for European citizens.

It has added a dozen countries since last month including Finland, Slovakia, Norway, Denmark, Greece, and Portugal.

Citizens of 38 European countries can now visit without a visa.

Travel restrictions to China weren’t finally lifted until last year and international inbound travel has been slow to recover.
