Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas Hosts Krug Champagne’s First Underwater Tasting, Setting a New Standard in Luxury

Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas recently made history with Krug Champagne’s first underwater tasting event, creating a spectacular moment for Global Champagne Day.

Krug’s President, Manuel Reman, took part in this special gathering at Anantara Kihavah’s renowned SEA Underwater Restaurant, where he shared personal insights and stories from the legacy-rich Champagne House. This provided an exclusive experience for guests to connect with Krug’s heritage and craft.

During the exclusive dinner, attendees enjoyed a specially crafted seven-course menu, each course complemented by an array of Krug’s celebrated Champagnes, including the iconic Krug Grande Cuvée. With SEA’s glass-walled dining room offering captivating views of the surrounding marine life, the event was a true feast for both the palate and the senses.

Established by Joseph Krug in 1843, the House of Krug has continuously pursued excellence, transcending climatic challenges to produce Champagne of remarkable quality. The Krug Grande Cuvée, a testament to this vision, showcases the unique diversity of Champagne’s terroirs, celebrating the House’s dedication to consistency and perfection in each new edition.
