IHG Hotels & Resorts Introduces Garner-Branded Hotel in Türkiye with New 126 Guest Rooms to Welcome Guests in 2025

IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), a global leader in the hospitality industry, has announced the signing of its first Garner-branded hotel in Türkiye. This project, established under a franchise agreement with FRT Turizm and supported by AB Consulting, led by Ahmet Bilgin, will feature 126 guestrooms spread across four separate buildings. The property is set to open its doors in 2025. This signing comes on the heels of IHG’s Turkish Investor Day, where the Garner brand was officially introduced to the market.

Garner is IHG’s latest venture into the midscale conversion segment, leveraging the company’s expertise in the mainstream sector and its track record of successfully launching and growing conversion brands. Garner’s appeal has rapidly expanded among hotel owners worldwide, with 79 signings and four hotels already open since its inception. The brand is designed to help investors maximize returns with cost-effective conversion processes, flexible design standards, and reduced pre-opening expenses, enabling a faster transition to fully operational status.

Garner properties benefit from immediate access to IHG’s robust support system, including digital capabilities, global sales infrastructure, award-winning distribution platforms, and the IHG One Rewards loyalty program, which boasts over 130 million members.

The brand focuses on offering guests a relaxed, unique stay experience at an attractive price point. Garner properties are designed to meet travelers’ key expectations, providing convenient locations, comfortable accommodations, 24/7 access to snacks in the Garner Shop, and a delicious breakfast to start the day.

Strategically located near the new International Istanbul Airport, one of the busiest in the world with over 64.3 million passengers annually, this Garner hotel will cater to transient guests seeking a seamless and comfortable stay with the brand’s promise of “easy-going stays that get you on your way.”

(Mrs) Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts, commented: “With the first Garner hotel being signed just one month after we introduced the brand to our Turkish investors, it is promising to see the continued confidence our owners have in IHG’s brands. This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without our trusting relationship with FRT Turizm and the support of Ahmet Bilgin and his company AB Consulting. This will be the second property we open together in 2025 alongside Holiday Inn Express Istanbul Airport Arnavutkoy district, Istanbul.
I’m confident our Garner brand will continue to grow as more owners across Türkiye and the continent understand the flexibility and strong returns, backed by IHG’s powerful enterprise, that the brand offers.”

Fırat Çelebi and Vedat Çelebi, board members of FRT Turizm, said: “Hearing about the Garner brand during IHG’s Investor Day, we knew it would seamlessly fit into our location in Arnavutkoy. We look forward to welcoming travellers to the first Garner in Türkiye once we open our doors next year and becoming the first choice for all transit guests looking for a quick, convenient stay before heading to the airport.”

Türkiye remains a key market for IHG, where the company currently operates 31 hotels under five distinct brands, including Six Senses, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, and the Holiday Inn brand family. In addition to this strong presence, IHG is actively expanding its footprint in the region, with a pipeline of 12 new hotels in development.
