Hilton Tokyo Bay Reveals “Garden Of Light” Design Concept For Ballroom Renovation

CHIBA, Japan - Hilton Tokyo Bay is set to redefine ballroom elegance following a comprehensive renovation. The new-look ‘Ambio' ballroom, which takes its name from a combination of the words ‘Ambience' and ‘Ambition,' reflects distinctive interiors inspired by nature.
Based on a unifying ‘Garden of Light' design concept linking a natural water theme for the ballroom and dappled sunlight in the elegant foyer, organic tones throughout introduce a perfectly understated backdrop for sophisticated decorative elements. Statement design elements in the ballroom include a coffered ceiling evoking rippling circles of water, enhanced by serene lighting to create a calm and relaxing ambience. A mocha-toned carpet with soft cream circles reflects the overhead pattern with a suggestion of sunlight filtering through water.
The transformed 480-square-meter space now also sports state-of-the-art lighting and audio visual equipment to accommodate modern-day wedding and MICE events. This includes a zero to 100 percent dimming control system, wireless Internet connection, high-definition super short focus liquid crystal video projectors, automatic elevating screens and premium audio speakers. For maximum flexibility and more intimate occasions, the ballroom may also be separated into two separate spaces.
Facilities now include a dedicated foyer decorated with an elegant motif of light reflecting through trees evoked by a soft repeating pattern of beige circles on the ceiling and carpet. Guests also enjoy natural daylight and views of a lush private garden through statement floor-to-ceiling windows.
"The new ballroom embraces natural beauty creating an exceptionally warm and welcoming setting for memorable occasions," said Hilton Tokyo Bay General Manager, Frederic Lucron. "In addition, it also now offers the very latest in audio visual technology and exclusive amenities of a world-class standard."
The renovation project will be completed in early September 2013.
