ARLINGTON, VA. – Cologne hotel performance January 2026 showed substantial year-on-year growth, supported by a series of major events across the city, according to preliminary data from CoStar.
For January 2026, occupancy reached 57.9%, representing an increase of 12.6% compared with the same month last year. Average daily rate (ADR) rose by 9.4% to 104.74 euros, while revenue per available room (RevPAR) increased by 23.2% to 60.68 euros.
All key performance indicators peaked on Saturday, 31 January, when
occupancy reached 82.4%, ADR climbed to 187.95 euros and RevPAR rose to 154.84
euros. Performance during this period was supported by the STICKS & STONES
career fair and the WDR Big Band event.
Imm Cologne 2026, held from 20
to 23 January, also contributed to increased demand. On the second night of the
event, occupancy climbed to 75.8%.
The market further benefited from a Dijon concert on Tuesday, 27 January,
which pushed occupancy to 77.3%, while ADR and RevPAR reached 101.74 euros and
78.60 euros, respectively.
