HONG KONG—Amari Yangshuo, ONYX Hospitality Group’s first Amari hotel in China, has topped off, with the 73-room property slated to open in Guilin in 2017.
Amari Yangshuo will be located near West St., one of the oldest streets in Guilin, with views of the waterfront and karst peaks. The four-story hotel is combining local Oriental influences with Thai-style design and is being developed by Shenzhen Yitian Group Co., Ltd., as part of the Yitian West St. development. The hotel will be managed by ONYX Hospitality Group.
Amari has a current portfolio of 14 hotels across Asia-Pacific, with new hotels under development in Yunnan, Galle and Johor Bahru. In addition, ONYX Hospitality Group is introducing in China the Amaya Food Gallery, the hotel’s restaurant. The Amari brand concept is inspired by the street-food markets of Asia, according to the company. Amari’s Breeze Spa also will open in China for the first time within Amari Yangshuo and offer Thai and Chinese therapeutic techniques.
