London City Airport still most punctual in UK

London City Airport [LCY] continued with its strong punctuality record in the first quarter of 2013, according to official statistics.
LCY again recorded the best on-time performance for scheduled flights of the ten UK airports monitored, at 86 per cent during January to March, and the shortest average delay of just 8.22 minutes.
Darren Grover, Chief Operating Officer at London City Airport said:  “The hard work of the LCY team continues to set us above other UK airports and provide the most punctual flights for our passengers.  London City Airport prides itself on the convenience it offers to passengers, from the ease of access from central London, to the short time it takes to get through departures and arrivals, and the reliability of our service demonstrates that we are consistently delivering on that promise.”
The average on-time performance across all airports was 77.71 per cent and average delay 13.13 minutes.
The last week of June saw the busiest week on record at London City Airport, with 80,315 passengers travelling through.  This beat the previous record set just a few weeks earlier.
