Turkey increases visa-free stay for Russians

Turkey has increased a visa-free stay for Russian citizens from 30 to 60 days, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said recently.
“On May 4, the Turkish government’s decree entered into force. In compliance with the document the Turkish side unilaterally increased from 30 to 60 days a visa-free stay for Russian citizens who have foreign travel passports under condition that they can stay in Turkey no more than 90 days during each six month period,” the ministry said.
This decree will be effective until December 31, 2012.
A 30 day visa-free stay for Russian citizens in Turkey is envisioned by the agreement on mutual trips of the two countries’ citizens that entered into force on April 16, 2011, the ministry said.
